The nodal axis shifts into new signs on Sunday, July 26th. Currently we are at a busy standstill. Energies of your soul that have been highlighted in your life are organizing themselves to move into the background. At the same time, new energies are emerging and waiting to take their place. The Nodes are Compelling
Some things are easy, some things are very arduous, but we have been compelled towards these activities, lessons and duties. In some ways, the nodes are the directors of karma. Instead of punishing us, we are drawn towards and into scenarios that enable us to untangle and transmute dense energies. In doing so, we open ourselves to a deeper sense of personal freedom. The signs, aspects and transits of the nodal axis speak to the nature of the journey. In referencing our own personal birth chart, we can glean insight into what we are facing. The nodal points always do what they do, but the quality and field of study changes every 18+ months.
LOOKING BACK :: JANUARY 11TH 2025 – JULY 26TH 2026
North Node in Pisces / South Node in Virgo
The nodes of fate have been in Virgo and Pisces for the last 18 months. Since January 11th of 2025 we have been held in a specific space of learning, healing and forward movement. The journey is deep. We are unique individuals and the journeys to shift our psyche and emotional patterns are complex. In short, these last 18 months have been a journey of wild self discovery. In this discovery, we have uncovered spaces of intense self criticism. Ideally, we have found some ways to turn this into compassion. Maybe we have only gotten to the point of noticing that angry, hateful, spiteful voice in our heads. This is enough, as the light of your awareness allows you to distance yourself from the voice. In doing so, there is space for fresh air, healing and a shift of patterns. In truth, critical words don’t help or heal us. They reinforce shame and trigger escapism. Critical insights are very different than direct criticism and derogatory speech. Compassionate insights offer the love and space needed to confront challenging energies. Of course, some things need change in our lives, and sometimes they need it quick. As we are at the end of this nodal transit, maybe you have an idea of exactly where these changes need to happen but are a little confused or lack the energy to do it. This is okay, remember that the awareness of the changes needed is the key. Continue breathing the light of awareness into these spaces.
As part of the south node in Virgo, there can be a tendency to control every little facet. Perfectionism is a waste of time and energy. Something being ‘good enough’ is undervalued. In my travels, I have noticed that the areas that accept imperfections are much happier, healthier and young at heart. I enjoy fixing things and making them even better, but I know my limits. The south node in virgo may have reminded us of our insecurities. If we didn’t take time to relax and focus on self, we may have projected these energies onto others. At this juncture, we are being asked to bring it all back home. Others are focused on themselves, not you. They don’t see your ‘flaws’ the way you think they do. If anything, they are striving to seem valuable in the eyes of others. Know that no matter what your output, you will never control what others think of you. In addition, your environment and life will always contain some semblance of chaos. Chaos is the fuel for creation. If the south node in Virgo got to you, consider where the north node was calling.
The north node in Pisces asked us to embrace something bigger. To let go of the need to ‘create’ peace and simply allow for it to exist. Leisure activities are key for this. Places where we let go of our plans or we plan to ‘let go’. When visiting the ocean, it is always in charge. We can be well organized and prepared, but the ocean effortlessly overtakes us at it’s will. This is the universe we live in. We can shrink our focus down to the things ‘we can control’. In the end, the larger picture will consume the narrow focus until we are forced to expand into the discomfort of being a consciousness in the vast universe. This is scary and exciting. If we only recognized the cosmic dance, we may have a hard time paying bills and keeping a clean home. Thus we have the Pisces/Virgo axis. Ideally, during this time, we have embraced some faith. We have taken certain neurosis and said ‘I just don’t want to invest in that anymore’. Accepting the universe and accepting self are one-in-the-same.
So we let go of control, but try not to lose touch. We may be aging, but how we eat, live and think influences that process. We may be stressed at times about things we cannot control, but we have faith in something bigger. Organized religion can be helpful, but it doesn’t quench the inner thirst for self discovery and direct connection with your soul. We are flawed, but not broken. We are wandering, but not lost. The world has troubles and they aren’t our responsibility… but with enough love, we can help. We may not be able to mend wounds in war torn nations, but we can heal our relationship to ourselves and spread that loving gospel everywhere we step foot.
LOOKING FORWARD :: JULY 26TH 2026 – MARCH 28TH 2028
North Node in Aquarius / South Node in Leo
This combination will coincide with the journey of Pluto in Aquarius. There is an added depth to this time that is hard to overestimate. In November of 2027, the north node will find conjunction with Pluto in Aquarius. In fact, this conjunction will occur just 0.5° away from where Pluto stands at this very moment. There is a massive energy being built up and it has already begun. Over the next year+ we are engaging the true power of community. Both the positive and negative aspects of humans interacting on a large scale. We must take it all in to recognize the highest potential and deepest flaws of larger societies and communities.
Collectively, this may look like a big ol’ mess. As an individual, we can do our part to further the exciting advancement of both technological and metaphysical energies.
The south node in Leo asks us to put aside our pride. Social media has turned a lot of people into monsters. We have learned to crowdsource our self respect. This is a dangerous game, as any sense of identity predicated upon outside input weakens our sense of self awareness. In this time we are asked to let go of the ‘I am great, look at me’ energy. The drive for likes, follows, money and notoriety will show itself to be vapid and soulless. Everyone wants to be liked and seen as ‘good’. The trouble is that we often rely on how the ‘world’ sees us to decide what is good and bad. Everything from a credit score to the car a person drives. I remind you, that these indicators are a sign of performing well within a specific and often ugly competitive financial game. If you have performed well… good on you. During this time, you will be asked ‘why?’ you invested so much in this game. Not a bad thing to consider, but if it’s hard to feel satisfied, look to the north node for answers.
The north node in Aquarius is reminding us to work for something bigger. In all that we do, are we leaving a place better than we found it? When challenges arise, do we take it all on ourselves? During this time, we are being asked to work together, in teams or partnerships. To forget about the worldly individual rewards and consider the spiritual and collective ones. Humanitarianism doesn’t have to be sacrifice. Taking care of the Earth that nurtures your ability to exist simply makes sense.
War is idiotic, a global scheme to keep the masses poisoned, injured and scared. If you don’t know this, it will take some serious self delusion in the next year+ to maintain your dissonance. What happens to others happens to us. We are all connected. From the viewpoint of the lower Leo archetype, this can be scary. When focus is on the self, the tribe or just the family, the idea of interconnectedness to all beings is a threat. So in this time, instead focus on the power of connectivity. What can we share with others? How can we foster interdependency within our towns and communities?
If you have a special gift, this is the time to use it to help, heal and teach others. If you want to strive in this time, think less about the reward and more about the gift you are sharing.
