Pluto is officially retrograde again.
From May 4th to October 13th this year, Pluto dials in it’s focus.
Retrogrades are certainly not a time of diminished energy, but there are some facets to them that often go misunderstood.
Retrograding planets are in no way an omen of bad things. They are as natural as the night is to the day. The visual illusion of retrogrades is simply due to the Earth and sed planet moving in the same direction.
The effects, however, are very real. For an outer planet, such as Pluto, a retrograde is different than say, for a personal planet like Mercury. There is a more obtuse effect with an outer planet, especially Pluto. Pluto moves so slowly that it’s impact is felt on a deep level. The effect of Pluto is simultaneously hidden and inescapable. The gravity of Pluto is beyond that of the other planets. The deepest, darkest, most difficult to reach places are brought to light, to truth, to reality, by Hades/Pluto… Lord of the underworld.
This retrograde represents the first retrograde of Pluto since solidifying itself into the sign of Aquarius. The ingress first happened in the summer of 2023. During the retrogrades both in 2023 and 2024, however, Pluto dipped back into Capricorn for some unfinished business.
In a way, Pluto stepped into Aquarius and laid the foundation for it’s future residence from 2025 until 2043. So here we are, not only did Pluto spend all of this year in Aquarius, but will revisit most of its progress since 2023.
On a personal level, this is represented by being effected by the ever changing world. Technological advancements throttle our reality in ways that we may have only dreamed of. The speed of these shifts can have our head spinning and looking for something stable to hold onto. How this impacts each of our lives is highly dependent on where and how we live.

The overarching changes are highly unpredictable and destabilizing. In order for a new regime to take hold, first there must be a deconstruction of the previous foundation. The problem is, we build our lives on these structures, regardless of how outdated they may be. Money, food distribution, governance, privacy, personal information… this is all up in the air. Depending on where you live, this could be worse or maybe not so bad.
Systems will become more invasive and seemingly cold/distant. Digital this, retina scan that. Within this, there is a goal to optimize efficiency, but who gets to write the code? Who reaps the benefits? Ideally, before the end of this two decade transit, power has been restored to the people in ways that allows for more freedom of expression than we’ve seen before.
Navigating Pluto Transits
No individual escapes the influence of the planets. If we are here on Earth, we are made of Earth. The stars and planets are all connected along invisible and mutable gridlines. When they form angles, energy dynamics spread through our soul and consciousness, fostering change, mutation, and growth.
Of the planets currently studied, none is more powerful than Pluto. Because of Pluto’s long arc of nearly 250 years, not all individuals experience the same transits from Pluto in their lifetime. If the average life expectancy is 80 years, then, on average, we will experience about 1/3 of all possible Pluto transits in our lifetime. Due to the way in which we are oriented on Earth, however, it’s not as easy as that.
The Sun, Mars, Venus, and Mercury all tend to be quite close together. Individuals who experience direct Pluto transits to one of these personal planets will likely experience intense transits to more, if not all of them. Some, who have these personal planets clustered in a certain part of the Zodiac, may be clear of conjunctions and oppositions to these points.
What ends up happening, is there are a few people (or generations) who really get their ass handed to them. Meanwhile, there are others who seem to live on a different, less intense plane of existence. We each face our challenges, and through these challenges reap rewards. For some, these challenges and rewards are within a more constricted potential. For those who experience consistent direct transits of Pluto to personal points, the challenges, pitfalls, rewards, and gifts are on a scale with a wide open potential.
Neither of these paths is ‘better’ or ‘greater’ than the other. In fact, depending on the day or the lifetime, one may be more desirable to each individual soul. Know that, whichever you have chosen, it is the right one for you, and you are prepared for it.
Natal Charts tell the story…
This is a look at the sign of tropical Capricorn from the year 1989. The new moon occurred on December 27th that year. This many planets, both personal and transpersonal (outer) in one area is rather uncommon. The conjunction of Uranus and Neptune occurs once every 171 years(with each conjunction progressing about 15 degrees through the zodiac). Saturn comes through every 28-30 years. A conjunction of all three planets (Saturn Uranus and Neptune) occurs roughly every 245 years. The Sun once a year, and the moon once every 28+ days.
Needless to say, this is a once in a lifetime event. The generation born between early 1989 to late 1990 are certainly a different breed.
Well, so what James? A stellium, what does this have to do with Pluto… well, my friends…
When Pluto entered the sign of Capricorn in 2008, thus began a wave of unstoppable change. These individuals had just turned 18. Suddenly they were confronted by a transit to Uranus, followed by transits to Neptune and Saturn over the next 14 years. For many of them, these transits occurred simultaneously or sequentially without a break. The chart given here, from December 27th 1989, would have also experienced transits to the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in this period of just about 10 years.
During this same time period, an individual born in the mid 1960’s would have had only a separating trine to their Pluto Uranus conjunction.. While this may bring about unexpected change, it is likely that the changes pull them into the future and benefit them if they are willing to be flexible to the whims of life. The older we become, generally it is easier to accept things (if we have been paying attention).
We share the Earth, but live in different Worlds…
We are all living in different realities. As our personal identity and energy signature (the Natal Chart) is influenced by the current cosmic weather (transiting planets). In the same way that someone living in Germany in a castle has a very different life from someone living in a South American jungle. Our souls are not that simple, and we all come from different places.
Astrology is not the ’cause’ of this, but an example of this. The coding language doesn’t cause the program to exist, but it is an expression of the intentional coding of the programmer.
So, we can see the astrological context as a blueprint and expression of the divine works between soul and source. Our lives are the result of our dance with God as a piece of God expression.
As Pluto (and other outer planet transits) disproportionately impact generations and individuals, we see a breakdown of the peaceful and tranquil idealism of a society. We are not living in the same world. We share the physical Earth, but the world is a collective concept and creation. The morphogenetic field, and how it expresses itself, is a mixed bag of energies; actions, thoughts, feelings, and intentions. Some people want war, some people want peace, some just want to be left alone, while others are dying for attention. The World is where we all come together, and it is subject to change at any moment, just like feelings. The Earth, on the other hand, is the physical body upon which all of our bodies are built. When our visions for the world aren’t aligning, generationally or culturally, the Earth becomes the battlefield. It is both a sad reality and also a gift. We have a place to make things real.
Nothing brings people together like when there is a crisis of Earth. A flood, a famine, a drought. An earthquake, or any death or harm to a human body (let us not forget we are Earth material).
At this current point in human evolution, the pain and damage done to spirit, emotions, and mentality is not nearly as galvanizing. Many are waking up to it, but it isn’t as strong of a motivator for change and action. The energetic or etheric realms upon which these emotions and thoughts play out are not agreed upon and shared. Religion may create some semblance of connectivity within the astral realms, but often not at all. The rise in spiritualism, paganism, or creative radical free expression is fostering an emergent connective field that goes beyond the physical plane. Any shared viewpoint that gives rise to awareness of the unseen will serve us well. As we face both realistic and imagined threats to our physical security, spirituality is opening potential doorways to circumvent karmic catastrophe prior to its physical manifestation.
To put it simply, if we connect on a spiritual level, we don’t need to go to physical war.
As the root causes of violence and war extend and protrude out from the emotional, spiritual and meta-physical realms. We must balance our energies before we destroy the Earth mother. However, our soul will call us to transformation come ‘hell or high water’. We are allowed to destroy everything, our soul will and must grow. Hell is the realm we choose to enter personally, for growth and forgiveness. To enter hell is to confront yourself as your own tormentor. If we can do this, we may not need the ‘high water’. The flood of emotional refuse that spills from our victimized and burdened conscience. The projections that extend like wounded branches from our soul’s desire to return to God. The violence and turbulence on Earth is a blame game. The trouble is, no one can ever take responsibility for OUR feelings. Only we, in union with the divine, can do so.
Here is what different worlds look like, and how they emerge…
For the previous example of those born in 1989 and 1990, this is what transformation looks like. (see figure left of transiting aspects in late 2019 early 2020) Over just a few years, conjunctions from Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, and the South Node. The Pluto transit to one outer or personal planet is enough to throw and individual or a generation in to upheaval. The combination of these all within such a short window is nothing that we have any scale of reference for.
Depending on the time of birth which determines ascendant and housing orientation, each of these individuals went through a shift that led to and will continue to lead to a new awakening. Out of the recent generational cohorts, none will be more affected by the ludicrous actions and mandates of the Covid pandemic than these beings.
The astrology and transits let me know that they were altered at their very core. Many of them through experimental medicine. Many of them, on the other hand, through a deep and resounding confidence or stubbornness to say NO and hold their ground.
It is my hope and goal to align with these individuals in determining a new way to govern, live, love, and structure the Earth as the ‘World’ crumbles.
A message to a Generation 1988-1991

I know you can see how archaic it all is, that you grasp for straws and do a phenomenal job and persevering. Know that I love you, and you can overcome anything, as your soul has done for lifetimes. If you feel that you are losing hope, go out and find others (ideally that are older than you) to speak to and connect to. For you are wiser than most, and need to be received as such.
It can feel very dark, don’t go at it alone…
One of the major issues that face these generational stellium is the need for the entire group to evolve together. The Neptune, Uranus, Saturn conjunction in Capricorn of the late 80’s early 90’s is a prime example. There is also an early 80’s Saturn Pluto conjunction in Libra that, while not as rare, has similar connotations. In the mid 1960’s, it was Uranus and Pluto in Virgo.
Shit happens… Usually, there are galvanizing events at the times when transiting outer planets hit these stellium. The Vietnam war, the aids epidemic, 9/11, Covid are all examples. They are a manifestation of the astrological context impacting a large cohort of Earths population.
All people are part of a larger movement as human beings on Earth. We seek to evolve and our souls came here right now to experience a shift. Personal work, patience, forgiveness, objectivity, mindfulness, and neutrality are essential to pass through this time.
If you are born in the three groups mentioned, please ensure to have a support group (ideally comprised of those OUTSIDE of your cohort). Your journey is specifically attuned to shift a frequency on Earth and bring it into a higher vibration. It helps when you get input from those who aren’t your age, gender, race, or specifically your biological family.
What is the deal with my family… Not to throw shade, but many in these groups will find disdain for the traditions of society and culture which was seeded by the nuclear and extended family. Don’t be afraid to leave them behind or create distance from them. Religions, careers, gender identity, military involvement, relationship dynamics. Part of the new Earth is to let go of the intrinsically narcissistic focus on your own progeny, bloodline and traditions.. We are all family, let’s prove it.
Our true inheritance is from the cosmos and stellar families, not the nuclear ones.
Without support and socializing, the pressure will build.
An alternative view on social anxiety… Many of you reading may identify as having ‘social anxiety’. While being social may make you anxious, I very compassionately express my opinion that social anxiety is not a diagnosis, it is a reality of life. The more aware you are of yourself and the impact the world has on you, the more likely you are to experience excess doubt and neuroses in social environments. In effect, social anxiety is a symptom of being aware of things unseen and unspoken. Protect your energy and get plenty of time alone. There is nothing wrong with you. The medication you desire is to be around authentic people in conjunction with alone time, in balance. That which wreaks of people pleasing, inauthenticity, repression, or suppression will cause your internal radar to go haywire. The nervous system will be triggered and perhaps even make you think there is something wrong with you. There isn’t. In addition, there isn’t something wrong with anyone else. You just know and notice things that others may not, and it bothers you. You crave something more clear, honest, and forthright. You deserve to have it, so go find it.
When you are ready, speak your truth. You will find that your truth is what allows others to release their own truth. You will start a domino effect. Don’t do it for others, do it because your body asks you to. Allow the benefits to flood in, however they may come. Often, challenging silence of the status quo will be offensive. Let me tell you, that is okay. An individual or group taking offense to an honest and loving expression of personal truth is for them to figure out, not you. This is not a path for the weak of spirit, so ensure that you get plenty of time alone and self care.
You are a changemaker, and if you aren’t at least trying to shift things, you may feel depressed.
When you feel this way, know that it is not you, just an unfulfilled desire asking for attention. Our body’s biological responses are alarm clocks that go off when we diverge too far from our desired course. Either choose a different route, or make a splash in your creative and authentic form.
Your guides are here to protect and help you, but they want you to be fulfilled, speak your truth.
Energy and Mind Manipulation and Pluto in Aquarius
The choice is… to some degree… ours!
If you are reading this from China, then you already understand the extent to which the governing entities can go to limit your freedom of expression. Surveillance is commonplace. Uprising within this part of the world will certainly happen, but they likely will not have a chance of overthrowing or impacting a governing body that is accustomed to suffocating control. Whether it is facial recognition, social credit scores, or simply drones telling you that you must go inside for the night, this new technology is as creepy as it is dystopic.
In the United States, the energetic and technological wars are quite different. Perhaps more subtle. A story told by a person that looks like you on the television or YouTube. A tale that was never true in the first place, yet it inspires reactive measures amongst millions of citizens. Before the truth can be exposed, the lies planted have already taken root and are choking the peace of the people.
During this time, remember that any large scale story or movement is likely coming from a place of manipulation. The news is dead, at least as a trustworthy source. Regardless of the ‘side’ you are on, it is all slant. Unless we witness it ourselves, all we are getting is one side of a multifaceted situation. Not only that, but in a collapsing culture, desperation creeps in.
If you thought that morals and ethics were important, well, you are right. However, when things get intense, when times are rough, when people are desperate, morality and ethics go out the window. The human being becomes a function of survival. Whether it is food, money, water, attention, or shelter. A human being who lacks these basic functions, and who is forced to compete with others for them, will do whatever he or she can to get them.
Things are falling apart…err into place!
Not quite, and I may even argue the complete opposite.
This is all a call for awakening. Pluto moving into a new sign is just one part of the multifaceted dance of the planets.
The solar system is undergoing a shift that is best understood by looking at the sun. Solar activity is hitting intense highs and leaving the magnetosphere of the Earth knocked down. The impacts of these CME’s (coronal mass ejections) allows for the entrance of higher levels of comic radiation than usual. Each planet, solar system, and galaxy give off radiation (they literally radiate). Under normal conditions, the Earth’s rotation pushes out a magnetic field that protects us from the majority of this radiation. When the sun blasts solar flares, the Earth’s field of protection is weakened or even knocked out completely. If there are solar flares on consecutive days, the subsequent flares hit us unencumbered. This unadulterated message from the sun sends our energy off in wacky directions. We may find ourselves hyper, dizzy, confused, sluggish, or even sick. As humans, we too have magnetic fields. The thing is, the Earth helps us ground and create ours. So when the Earth is struggling to project out a field of protection, so are we.
Getting lost in the fray…
Without our fields of protection, we are subject to anything and everything around us. We may be pulled into the first and loudest emotional cause in the room or social group.
‘I stand for this’ or ‘We must do this or else’. It’s a common theme over the past half decade. In the end, collective reactive movements are almost always a terrible idea. They are a spark that lit a wildfire. The equivalent of one person needing to light a cigarette and instead the whole forest burns. We didn’t all want a cigarette. Also, why the hell are we still smoking them?
My metaphor is playful but illustrates the point. Human beings are losing their shit. It is harder and harder to keep track of one’s own energy field. What are my thoughts? Why am I here? What am I doing?
Authoritarian control really doesn’t mind people feeling and thinking this way. The more directionless we become, the more likely we are to succumb to a confident windbag in a lab coat or a suit. Due to this, don’t expect solutions to come to these issues. In fact, expect support of separation and desperation from the entities in charge.
Find your center, or else…
Humans only attack one another due to insecurity. As we watch the world unfold with mass movements and bifurcation, notice who is attacking whom. If a movement starts with or justifies attacking the lack of rank and file… disregard that movement. We must look no further than 2020/2021 when many well intentioned people were ready to cast the ‘unvaxxed’ into a volcano. Years later, most of us have accepted the truth. Those draconian measures, threats, firings, and mandates were very poor decisions made out of fear. Under these dramatic and fearful settings, many people trusted the industries that have been keeping them sick for decades. With compassion I say, it is hard to find your center in a storm.
Currently, there is even more bifurcation and splitting. It seems that hating someone has become a panacea for those who don’t know how to look inward or don’t know how to make sense of the world.
Trust me, the world is struggling as it transforms. I don’t care whether you are blue, red, purple, or green. It is obvious that, in general, those with the most money, power, and influence can’t handle the pressure of the job.
So here we have the truth underlying the entire matter… the system needs to shift. I cannot imagine a single human being that could handle the pressure of ‘leading a nation’. Something different is clearly needed.
If fighting with someone is more comfortable than looking for an alternative, then have at it. Just know you are wasting everyones time and your precious energy, while creating more chaos. I applaud your approach to shift others into more conscious awareness, but remember that isn’t your job, and each individual has a right to view the world how they see fit.
Instead, we must learn to work together. The only way to do that is to get out of our own way. Find our center and make a bee line towards a place of peace and discipline. We have many comforts and comfort zones. We will have to sacrifice some of them for growth, but trust me, its worth it.
The light at the end of the tunnel can be hard to see. The end of the tunnel is a projection. We are neither in the past nor in the future, we are in the now. The light is within us, within everything. The light which we all hold is the energy that allows us to create, imagine, dream, dread, fear, and hope. All creations and potential futures are projections and manifestations of our light.
While it is nice to imagine and theorize, we must not forget the true beauty of life, and that is to BE in the now. Presencing ourselves with what is happening in both space and time is essential for optimum health of us as individuals and as a group body.
There may be chaos and potential issues looming in the future, but the now is where you exist and always will be. Any movement or message that asks you to fear a projected future should, in my opinion, be taken with a grain of salt. Consider it to the extent you choose, but always return to your center, to your now, to your body.
