Venus has been in a detriment for the majority of the last month. Visiting the south node, opposing Saturn in Pisces, and navigating a the Mercury ruled and overly thoughtful sign of Virgo.
Venus in the Natal Chart
Energy from Venus helps us navigate our reality. Our senses pick up on things before we have a chance to think. Our unconscious conditioning will create a bit of framework, leading us in a general direction. Of all the planets in the chart, our natal Venus placement plays a large role in how we process this sensory info.
The difference between an unobstructed and obstructed Venus can be night and day. Venus has the power to filter our reality in a pre cognitive fashion. Those who have Saturn aspects to Venus are more likely to respond to their reality in a sober and even quiet manner. Taking things a little more seriously, waiting to respond as opposed to just ‘going with the initial flow’. An individual with Jupiter aspects to Venus may find it easy to get ‘lost in the vibe’. Jupiter’s influence can seemingly make things bigger than they are. When this happens pre thought, energy is big and unrestrained.
Neither of these is inherently negative or positive, it simply points to a unique influence illustrated in the natal chart. All factors of the chart must be considered, but generally, planets impacting Venus will create a ‘filter’ or ‘lens’ that will impress onto the reality of the native.
Do you have aspects to Venus in your natal chart?
As mentioned in the open, Venus has been filtered by some influences that haven’t offered the most ‘go with the flow’. Venus crossing the South Node ((October 3rd/4th)) had us focusing on the past, what needs to go, what isn’t working, regrets, technicalities, stuff maybe we thought we were done with. Venus opposing Saturn ((October 11th/12th)) had our realities shaded towards practicalities. Both of these transits offered us liberation, but it came through reflection, hard work, and perhaps even sacrifice. Needless to say, the transit of Venus in Virgo ((September 19th – October 13th)) created discomfort. This time period also coincided with the ending of eclipse season so, in a way, Venus was putting our focus back on the lessons brought forth by the eclipse.
This pattern tells me that the eclipse season offered a necessary shift in our focus. Not because the issues that happened during that time frame were so vital, but because we had to shake off the old way of viewing things. Within a few months, perhaps even by next weekend, we will see the new form taking shape. Eclipse periods are quite general and non specific in my experience. So the shift is subtle yet powerful. Much like the Venus, the impact of eclipse seasons gets us at our core processing. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but something has changed. As we move forward, everything looks a little bit different.
Venus into Libra, looks, its a kite!
Venus will be in the tropical sign of Libra October 13th until November 6th. Usually I would say that the shift between signs will take a few days to sink in. However, this time it’s different. Venus will enter its most comfortable space in the sign of Libra Monday afternoon. By Tuesday evening Venus will have aspected Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto.

Venus fosters a unique formation with the outer planets referred to as a kite. A kite requires 4 points. Currently, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are moving such a way that any planet or point crossing the first degrees of Libra will do exactly that.
If you, personally, have planets in the first degrees of Libra, you are undergoing a complete metamorphosis not unlike that of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Remember that the caterpillar melts into a goo before reforming and breaking out from the chrysalis.
Venus will get comfortable quick. Things can feel a little rushed and overwhelming. Do what you can to reboot yourself. Start a new healthier plan for your time, for your days. Don’t talk with someone that feels obligatory, make it a choice. Target a desire and give it to yourself.
Venus will be the ‘tail’ of the kite. The tail planet in a kite formation works to foster motivation to have the kite fly. In this instance, the structure of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto is certainly ready to do something. However in such early degrees of their respective signs, and with each of them in retrograde or stationary, what takes off can feel more like an upheaval. Instead of moving forward and flying, we may be flying through the litany of issues that have been clogging up the mental, emotional, and spiritual landscape.
Lets break down the aspects within the kite…
Venus Opposite Neptune
Neptune at the Apex means that the driving force here is the opposition between Venus and Neptune. Oh my does this sound lovely, and the 13th is likely to have a dreamy evening. Venus needs to take a load off after the opposition to Saturn and the restrictive energy of Virgo. Expect good things to manifest around relationships. They may be short lived, but they are bringing us towards a better future. Whatever karma still exists has likely been worked through, and if not, get to work on it. Remember that Venus and Neptune represent the long arc of relating. This isn’t about a one night stand ((although it can lead to them)) but it is about the energy of soul’s meeting in inspired connection. Maybe things didn’t end well or aren’t going well between you and another person. During this time consider how this may have actually protected you. How each person is doing their best. Look for your projections and reel them back in. Send love in the energy realms if you can’t do so in the physical. Pain held deep in the heart wants to be set free on the wings of a dove. Go and be free. **beware of false claims, some people may just want to get closer because you enable them not to heal… don’t get back with your ex**
Grand trine between Venus Uranus and Pluto…
Uranus and Pluto are experiencing a very tight aspect that will go on through 2026. Currently Pluto is stationing direct so there is extra power to its influence. Venus comes in and smooths out the energy between the two. For just about 24 hours, the energy will fully circulate. This gives each planet a break but also allows for an even faster flow of energy. Luckily, Venus in Libra is a masterful transducer. The caveat being, Venus must be free to flow and defer judgement for the greater good. Discernment comes over time. Snap decisions can hinder this grand trine. It is likely that over these few days it is easier to acknowledge where we’ve overdone it. Maybe we’ve moved a little too fast in some exciting direction. The predictions of doom were overdone. We have vilified or deified someone, some group, some thing. Forgiveness is essential. If we are harboring ill will and aren’t ready to move on, we will miss out on a time of grace. All this being said, if you are in the midst of a difficult situation with someone, find support. This time in no way indicates a ‘getting back together’. It is more of a ‘making peace so that we can move on.’ Hold your boundaries and try to ensure that they have not become walls.
The kite is fated…
I am not saying that you ‘deserve’ to suffer or that everything will work itself out. But please do your best so avoid despair. Keep yourself level headed, focus on what you can impact. At the same time, celebrate your victories without losing focus on what is next on your list. Bills to pay, things to clean and organize. There can be a glazed kind of energy, a sugary coating to things. Keep your emotional levels balanced with peaceful mediations, walks, and quiet time. Keep your blood sugar balanced through exercise and eating whole foods. We are being guided if we take a chance to listen..
Surrender is necessary here, but do so with discernment. Don’t succumb to social pressures or guilt trips. However do attempt to surrender to the will of the universe. To those things that try to speak to you through circumstance. Sometimes we just aren’t supposed to do something that we’d really like to. In the same way, sometimes we don’t want to do something and everything is trying to tell us to do it. Look for these little windows, they are extra pertinent.

Pluto stationing direct in it’s current kite formation indicates breaking through on something that felt like it would go on forever. If you are nearing the end of a personal challenge, remember to rest up, gather your resources, and know that an end is in sight. No one will suffer forever although it may feel that way. The underworld is bringing up some stuff, it can be kinda ugly. The other planets involved, however, are here to turn that stuck energy into advancement and art. The only one stopping us from growing is us.
