To make space for something new and amazing, we have to let go of something. Some of these things we love. Certain relationships, homes, careers, friends or family members may threaten our sense of peace and have us feeling stuck, yet we still cling to them.
Regardless of how they trigger us or hurt us, they have served us well. We are grown fond of them. The brain doesn’t know the difference between something that is hurting us and something that is helping us. The brain will simply register that the ‘thing’ is familiar and part of the routine. A toxic pattern is the same to the brain as a healing pattern. Our habits and rituals create our mental programs.
To let go, we must break a habit. Even though the ‘habit’ may break us over and over again, we will keep going back. That is, until we break the habit of returning to the comfort and mindless routine.
Somewhere in all of this is the concept of trauma from an earlier experience. That, in a way, we only go back to, let’s say, a drug that makes us sick or a partner who hurts us, because we are leaning back into a wounding that occurred prior to the addiction or connection.
We are always seeing a piece of ourselves and simply aiming to return back home. The way back ‘home’ is through the core wounds. Those wounds are etched into our foundation. They show themselves in every action, thought, and experience we have. The closer we get with someone, the deeper we connect, the more invested we become in a project or goal… the more intense it becomes.
We will not complete ‘self healing’ in any specific relationship or scenario. Even in death after a long term connection, we are not fully integrated. There is always work to be done. From the perspective of life as a human being, improvement is a truth that cannot be denied. The choice is when and where to invest in sed improvement, and how to go about it.
For a period of time, we can opt out of improvement. However, we will begin to struggle with our lives. We sense the potential calling. We may experience a sense of despair, boredom, agitation, or even a creeping anxiety. In this life, I believe we are here to change, grow, learn, evolve, adapt, and transform.
Can this be done too fast? In regards to having a stable life… yes, I would say so. If it is ‘all work’ and no play then the excitement of life starts to wither away. Excitement, passion, and joy are part of the physical life on Earth.
You wouldn’t run an engine without oil. In the same way, a life that is simply mechanical may have you burned out, disconnected, and despondent. The peaceful and simple things in life help us connect all of these lessons. We are growing as souls. This takes time, energy, and hard work.
I estimate that we cannot avoid soul growth or lessons, at least not without feeling the consequences of an unfulfilled experience of this fleeting life. Attempts to deflect or project, to place blame or attack, or to hide and escape will only have the truth find us when we least desire it.
We must soldier on, lest the soldiers appear as enemy forces at our doorstep. Endings and new beginnings give us the opportunity to get out of our own way. To invite in new and evolved opportunities to learn the lessons previously represented by the past experience.
The new scenario is like a software update. There are some bugs, but you and the universe will work those out, and enjoy doing so along the way. In letting go of comfort, what you are actually losing is ‘stuckness’. You are losing a feeling of being lost. Endings are healthy, they are a gift and should be celebrated. They are, in fact, the only way to start something new.
You are Allowed to Do it!
Let go of the old, the past, the comfort. The moment you do, a well crafted new opportunity will step your way. Perhaps you take more of a leadership role in a group. For certain, this new space will have you leading your own life. Throughout your experience of life, you will emerge from various dark places which at times seemed impossible to escape. In fact, you’ve already done it. The dark spaces were created through the habits, the rituals, the patterns you lived. To rearrange reality and get out of them, ya gotta do things differently. The only way that could be perceived as ‘wrong’ is to continue to do exactly what you have been doing. When things aren’t going well, and changes are needed, try something new. Do things differently. If you wanna escape a room, you have to open the door. There are angry and frustrated energies within our bodies. The buildup of these energies is a result of the way we interact with our environment. To release them, we have to open our our chain link fence of repeating patterns and do something different. A slight change is all that is needed for energy to shift. You may find that a little change is intoxicating, and you want more. Beyond this, we must discipline our minds and choose our thoughts, otherwise the recording will continue to play and attempt to call the energy patterns back to us.

So, what we must do, and maybe YOU must do… is let go of what you think will happen. Aim for the thing you want. Take the steps… take that first one today, or tomorrow (remember there is no time like the present). Tell yourself that you are making the change. When fears come up around the changes, that is okay, change triggers our nervous system. When the changes we make come from our hearts desires, the universe looks to meet us halfway. Stay in touch with that universal delivery system. Remind the universe that you are still on prepared for the delivery. The universe will respond to doubt by freezing or even rescinding your delivery. The creatrix responds to your thoughts. Actions towards the goals you have set will reinforce your confidence, reduce doubt, and speed up delivery. Live in a space of gratitude. See yourself thriving in the desired, new and improved setting. Feel in your heart what it would feel like to… have all your bills paid, have a safe and loving partner, have the home setting you desire, to feel well fed, nourished, loved and held. Do this regularly. Whenever a fear or concern about the future comes up, that is a reminder to readjust your trajectory towards your desired outcome.
You are conjuring, creating, manifesting. Stick with it, every chance you get. If you slip up, don’t worry about it, just go back to the practice of feeling what it is like to live your desire, your dream, and your best life.
When we match this with action, nothing can stop us. We won’t bypass lessons, and it is natural to look for shortcuts. We cannot get away with ‘not doing the work’. So follow your heart in alignment with your higher wisdom, and cross the bridges when you come to them.
