It’s for Real :: Mars into Capricorn

***Mars enters Capricorn December 15th***
***Mars enters Aquarius January 23rd***

Mars moving into Capricorn changes how energy flows throughout our body. You may notice that you feel things more physically. Like the energy has slowed down and structured. Motivations are changing and we are more practical. Basic needs take precedence.
Mars will be in Capricorn until January 23rd 2026 when it enters Aquarius.

The predominant energies are still in Sagittarius ((Sun, Venus, Mercury)), so things are still moving fast. Neptune has recently turned direct so reality can feel a bit fuzzy. Mars will help to focus and brings things back online. Mercury will be out of post shadow on Tuesday and will add another level of productivity to the mix. It may take the rest of this week, but structure is being entering the chat. The pieces are a little scattered but if we keep our head down, we will get done what needs to. Distractions are easy to come by. More and more we can see what is worth our time and what isn’t.

Earth energy is sorely needed after the extended Grand Water Trine. Mars in Capricorn is practical and no frills. This year, Mars leads the charge into Capricorn. A fitting role and one that may protect us from over sharing, over spending and over doing it. What is a good deal? What is of value? Do we need this? Do we want to be doing this or that?

If you can listen to your body instead of your mind, you may find yourself not wanting to do so much this holiday season. There is balance to be struck. Obligations based on emotional dependency don’t hit like they usually do. Mars in Capricorn can’t be convinced to move unless they know its a good idea.

I like this for humanity, for culture. I find the ‘holiday’ season to be a mix of obligations and exhaustion. Mars in Capricorn can feel that we have just enough to get by. In doing so, everything we have is of some certain value. We are still very dedicated to family, but we aren’t hung up on the details. We are solid and present with where we come from, for better or worse.

Mars impacts the body and the energy we use to get things done. If you don’t have energy for something, trust that it just isn’t the time. Of course, give yourself space to get it done, try your best, but know when to say when. Something about Mars in Capricorn seeks hard work. The idea is, if it was challenging to do, it must be worth doing. There is a reward for activities and tasks that challenge us. This is truth, for sure. Just ensure that there is alignment.

Be careful of going back to the same well too many times. Capricorn can be a bit regimented and structured. Be playful and open to new experiences. Remember that being out of your comfort zone will make you grow way faster than repeating comfortable activities over and over again. Within the routines and habits of your life, look to make little tweaks that challenge you.

While we may find ourselves mastering a craft, breaks are needed to avoid obsession and burnout. This goes for diets, exercise habits, hobbies and relationships.

Mars in Capricorn will show you itself. Bare bones. Somehow conservative yet exposed at the same time. There is great pride in saying less. No need to explain oneself. If you want to understand who you are, just take a look at what you do. Pay less attention to the show of what is being said and talked about. It is what we actually DO that defines us. I expect some wildly defensive tactics to be employed on the larger social scene. Explanations and controlling tactics to avert your eyes from what is actually happening. What’s new, right?

Growth and Healing

We are all growing in our personal awareness to things. Sick and sadistic individuals that are separated from the daily struggle of humanity will carry out some nasty shit. In order to hide their true intentions and actions, they will use anything to divide and distract. Reacting to the constant stream of prompts that flood our phones makes us tools to a ruling class. The hell with that. I don’t say ignore it, I say pay attention, but look at it from a place of ‘What is the actual goal?’. As provocative as it may be, the news is disgusting propaganda used as a tool to sicken, distract and divide us.

The people around you, the ones that gravitate towards you, they need you. Your fellow humans that live and breathe beside you, they need your light and love. The guy that cut you off in traffic… he doesn’t know you, he probably needs a hug or at least a bit of forgiveness. This is why it is vitally important to center ourselves within ourselves.

There are beings who need our help. First and foremost is US. I need me. More than anyone else in the universe, I need me. Mars in Capricorn feeds us with a feeling that we can ‘do it all’. I mean, we can, but what good is that? We can carry the weight of an entire family on our backs and for what? To get tired, grumpy, insular and sore? Just because it’s simpler and more efficient to do it on your own, that doesn’t mean that it is better. Solitude and alone time is one thing, but when in the presence of others, engage them and see how teamwork can lighten the load.

Grounding in…

There is still plenty to feel and come to terms with. This week can be a time of sobering news and realities. Luckily, the vibe seems void of emotional investment. The world may seem a little cold and psychotic at times. Like, jeesh, are we really like this? The truth is we are everything. In certain circumstances, people are capable of anything at all.

Ideally, a society builds structures, safety mechanisms and guardrails to ensure people don’t make drastic decisions when under duress. A well functioning society would also do its best to limit how often people are expose to dire conditions. Safe spaces would be created to host those in crisis. Without any of this, it is easy for escalation to lead to outburst, violence, death and destruction.

Are guns the problem? The answer obviously isn’t black and white. In some instances, a gun may actually be a tool for protection and safety. I am not here to litigate or choose sides, but discourse upon these topics is necessary. Individuals, destabilized by their station in life and reality, require attention and assistance. If these individuals do not receive this, they wander through communities, forlorn and despondent. How many people in the world are one moment away from cracking? How would we know? I don’t have the ability to go to every house on my block and check on each person. I don’t think they would appreciate that, honestly. What I can do is check on the people that cross my path. Those who are close to me. I can love them with presence and kindness. I can nurture authentic connection through direct communication and honesty.

If we all did this, instead of arguing or nitpicking at opinions, the world would be a safer place.

I am not here to coddle anyone. I don’t mind if someone doesn’t like me. If anything, I appreciate the clarity. We probably can’t serve everyone in this world. If there were a way to serve everyone, it would most certainly be through being ourselves.

If human beings aren’t able to express what they are going through, they will lose respect for themselves and thus everyone around them. This makes them capable of gruesome and inhumane acts. The key is connectivity. Stay present with people, let them be. Capitalize on that Capricornian unattached vibe and let them unfold.

Their reality isn’t about you, if you think it is, thats a personal issue.

Do your job… be honest. Share your story. Leave room for others to do so. That person on the other end of the comment thread… that person may be on the edge. Consider that before you troll them. Instead of leaving a rude comment, think about how you feel. We are building our reality with every action we take. Do you like violent words and shaming? No? Then don’t do it.

You may have lofty goals, donate to charities, stand for causes… but how do you actually treat people? Are you kind? Understanding of differences? Are you accepting of people?

Everybody has walls, where are yours? Might they need to be torn down or fortified? How are they affecting your ability to see people for who they are?

Presence Yourself with Those Around You

Years ago I was arrested while driving my RV across Wyoming. I spent a few days in jail in Cheyenne getting to know the other men there. Most of them had gotten caught up in some hyper emotional situation that lasted less than a minute. From that one event, they were now caught in the jail/prison system. These guys made impulsive and uninformed decisions that put their freedom in jeopardy. They were trying to make money for their families or get a break from harsh reality with alcohol. Some of them were just wounded as children, fell into a group of other wounded men and were part of a gang.

Once they were caught up in the system, they had little momentum to get out. They were tagged, branded and labeled as criminals. The point is, these are the men that needed me for those two days. I am not saying I am a savior, I’m just another participant here. What I am saying is that we needed each other and that experience reminded me of just how important it is to stay present with the people around you.

If you can’t be with the ones you think you love
Love the ones you are with
– Butchered Quote, you are welcome

We aren’t any better than anyone else. With the right focus and goals, we can become a better version of ourselves in every moment.
